We have a very exciting opportunity to join a large multinational with an increasing presence in Ireland.

Based in Galway, our client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their growing team. Working with engineers and customers, this is a key role in ensuring client retention and satisfaction.

Some of the duties involve:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Escalate and prioritise fault reporting
  • Liaise with engineering colleagues and clients through email, internet and phone
  • Provide support, fixes and document accordingly

Skills:

  • Be a creative problem solver
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Networking and troubleshooting the same
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
  • Strong team player
  • Knowledge of systems such as Linux, Mac or Solaris
  • SQL administration
  • Endpoint Protection and Patch Management

Advantageous:

  • Fluency in German is a distinct advantage but not essential
