Accounts Payable Assistant

We are working with one of Ireland’s largest and most successful brands.

As they continue to expand in all areas, a position now exists for an Accounts Payable Assistant.

This is a permanent role for an experienced Accounting professional and is an essential component in the effective management of this busy office.

Some of your regular duties will include:
  • Verifying supplier invoices
  • Liaise across all areas of the business in relation to incoming invoices and ensure company practices are followed
  • Ensure purchase orders are approved and passed according to company protocols
  • Calculate, post and verify invoices
  • Operate in a multi-currency environment in relation to invoices and credits
  • Contribute to month end procedures for your department
  • Create appropriate reports and reconcile Accounts Payable ledger to General Ledger
  • Ensure supplier details are correct
  • Effectively manage queries both internally and externally
You will have much of the following:
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Previous accounts payable experience
  • Flexible personality, willingness to take on varied work requests
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and operate independently
  • Solid IT knowledge e.g. Oracle Financial accounts system or similar
